Good Morning Airmen Family,
This is the home stretch; the last week before finals! Here's what you need to know:
DRESS DOWN DAYS: To celebrate our student's achievement on the LEAP test, all Airmen will be allowed to come to school in Free Dress Monday-Thursday. We ask that Friday students come to school in their Arthur School Uniform, if they prefer once the morning's activities are complete to change into free dress, they may.
As a refresher our "no" list for free dress includes the following:
No Shorts No Pants with holes, or overly distressed denim No tank tops/sleeveless shirts No slippers or open toed shoes (including slides or crocs) No items of clothing that may have profanity, obscenities, references to sex, drugs, or alcohol of any kind. No items of clothing may have reference to any other high school.
We are very proud of our students for their hard work during our days of standardized testing. Scores will be available for individual students in the coming days, however we can share that over 70% of our students passed the LEAP in Math and over 80% passed in English!
BAND CONCERT: On Friday, we are inviting Airmen Family Members to join us in the Arthur School Gymnasium for our Airmen Band Spring Program! Students will be performing selections at the direction of our musical instructor Mr. Hymel. This is why we ask students to come dressed in uniform on this day. In addition, yearbook photos will take place on this day, so ensure your young man looks sharp! The performance will begin at 8:00 AM. We hope to see you there!
LOOKING FORWARD: This is our students' last week before exams! We are expecting all of our young men to finish strong. Please check in with your young man to make sure he is prepared for his upcoming assessments.
Our Spring Convocation will mark the close of this school year on Tuesday, May 31st. Please save the date, as this matriculation ceremony is one of our most significant events. More details on this to come!
