AIRMEN COMMUNICATION 3/30/22

Good Afternoon Arthur School Family,

We hope everyone has had a wonderful start to the week. This 4th quarter is already flying by. As of day, we are only 15 school days away from LEAP & State testing and only 41 school days from Spring Convocation. This is the home stretch! Here's what you need to know for this week:

FIELD TRIP: We are so excited to be partnering with NOLA's very own Silverback Society Mentorship Program. As a culminating piece of the social/emotional learning that they provide to our Airmen, The Silverbacks will be taking our young men to a VIP luncheon at the Historic Dooky Chase's Restaurant. There is no cost associated with this event to our students, however, your consent is needed. I have attached the permission slip to this communication for your convenience, however your son will be sent home with a paper copy if you prefer that. Bon appetit!

IGPs: This week our school counselor Ms. Jacquet Williams will be sending Intended Graduation Plans (IGPs) home with students. These are to inform you of your son's pathway to graduation and the courses he will take to get there. Students have already reviewed these plans with Ms. Williams, we will need them signed and returned by April 5th.

SPRING AWARDS REMINDER: Just another reminder that parents and loved ones are invited to celebrate our young men's academic achievement at our Spring Academic Awards Ceremony, April 8th at 8:00 AM in the Arthur School Gymnasium. We'd love to see a great turn out for our best and brightest.

PROGRESS REPORTS: The Arthur School's English and Math Departments plan to send out 4th Quarter Progress reports April 11th-12th.

COVID-19: Of the 10 Teachers, 1 Parent, and 22 Students tested for COVID-19, 0 positive cases were reported.

That is all I have for you at this time, stay safe during this weather event.

We hope to see you all very soon!
